About
An applied research lab inside real operations
Literato was born in Brazil from a simple idea: when people, machines and organizations work together, economies develop faster — and that progress should be safe and good for society.
We are an applied research lab. Our forward deployed engineers work inside companies' operations, build intelligent systems with the people who do the work, and run them on the company's own infrastructure. Our specialties are inference engineering, local deployment and safety, so that knowledge stays with the people and organizations who create it.
We are starting small on purpose, with a few well-measured deployments, and we will publish our results and our mistakes along the way.
How we work
We work inside your operations
Our engineers sit with your teams, learn how the work actually gets done, and build intelligent systems around it.
Everything runs where your knowledge lives: on your servers or cloud, with your data. Your people review every decision that matters.
When the project ends, your team knows how to run, check and improve what we built together.

Method
How we work
- 01
Problem
We start from a concrete problem, defined with the people who face it and who will keep deciding after we leave.
- 02
Evidence
We gather data, literature and cases, and measure the current state before proposing any change.
- 03
Pilot
We build the smallest useful version and test it with real users, recording what fails and where people overrode the system.
- 04
Publication
We open methods, code and evaluations. What holds up gets deployed more widely; the rest becomes public learning.
Careers
Build systems that make people more capable
We are a small team in Brazil of researchers and forward deployed engineers. If you like building systems that make people more capable, we'd like to talk.
